I got inspired by WPP this year :-)))) (no jokes.. I love Michael Wolf‘s work!) and I couldn’t stop myself from posting this photo (my photo from google maps 🙂 )

World Press Photo:

“We have officially opened the 2011 World Press Photo Contest, the 54th edition of the leading international competition in the field of photojournalism. Entries from all over the world already have been coming in, and they will continue to do so right up to the deadline on 23.59 CET on 13 January 2011. “… Did you send it? If not you have a few more days to do it!

Jury WPP 2011 is here . Jury chair of the 2011 World Press Photo Contest is David Burnett

David Burnett’s advice for photographers:

Don’t send in something just because you shot it. Look at your work with a sharp eye. Don’t get tempted by fond or fuzzy memories, because the jurors will not have those. Be your own toughest editor. If you’re not tough on yourself, we will be. One bad picture in a story takes away the merit of two good ones.”
